Tips for managing the holiday buffet/potluck party:
1) Eat breakfast – eating a nutritious meal with protein and fiber before you arrive will decrease your appetite and allow you to be more discriminating in you food and beverage choices.
2) Watch your portions – try and skip seconds; leftovers are much better the next day.
3) Picky, Picky – be picky. Choose small portions of your holiday favorites and try and fill half your plate with fruits and vegetables.
4) Eat slowly – put your fork down between bites. Tasting each mouthful is an easy way to enjoy your meal and feel satisfied with just one plate of food.
